Blue Anchor Reviews - Sounds Ace!

"Pub was local to us so went for some food and local atmosphere but guess what No Food No atmosphere and no Canal lol
Not what we was expecting"

"If this pub has just been fully refurbished I am the queen of England. Grotty is the only way I can describe it. Beer garden lol table's on concret out the back. Don't bother."

"Went in for a cool beer didn't feel welcome and the language of some of the locals was disgraceful will never go there again".

"No atmosphere"

"Big fat bloke sat at the bar effing and blinding could hear him across the pub. Won't be going in again. The landlady was lovely." (ps: Tom's not fat!)

And, finally ........ "They let us use the back room free for our ukulele band"

.......... SAY NO MORE!

I forgot to mention, The price of a pint was NOT in the same theme of the 80's. a 'flat rib' pint of cookin' was £4.50, So after I had had my £9 worth i set off on my bike to find an ice cream because, the temp was 28 degrees, I set off up towards the Morecambe Promenade and asked each ice cream vendor for a, ' two bob cornet' none of the 15 ice cream vendors could offer me that deal. So in the end I welcomed myself back to 2023 and paid £3 for the cheapest cornet but , as the saying goes, Iffen ya dont ask ya dont get,

Well done Admin for your hard work ...TP..it's on High St Bolton-le-sands...not Hest bank.....the big chap at the bar (in tonkers post) is BIG MARK.... he is a local who holds court daily with choice language....nobody brave enough to challenge him .. he's not a bad lad though.

Joe Bloggs,
I lived in Dunster for a while in 1986. We put a sewer pipe out to sea along Quay Street. A nice place Minehead.

"We put a sewer pipe out to sea along Quay Street."

How did you run a backfill under water?

"A nice place Minehead."

My brother-in-law lives in Minehead. They had a hotel there. I know where it is, but I've never been!

Concrete coated and backfilled with rock. Constructed round the corner, buoyancy floats fitted, towed round the bay and lowered into the trench.
